All Things Must Pass

The last time I saw my spider friend was 48 hours ago. I think she has moved on. I'm thinking she has grown tired of all the attention and the flash from my camera.

I read up a bit about the Orb spider. From what I understand, patience is not her strong suit. It seems that sometimes the female Orb spider will kill the male if he fumbles (or is not quite as skilled as she would like) during foreplay. She has a zero tolerance.

My oldest daughter's response-- when I shared this with her-- was "Right on... "

This next generation has zero tolerance in so many relationship areas... and I am so proud. My generation still has a bit of that bite-your-tongue-and-just-ignore-it going on.

But, I have learned to pick my battles. And I have learned "he who walks away from a fight, lives to fight another day."

So are you fighting... or picking your battles?

With a 14-yo in the house, deep in the throes of teenhood, I am picking my battles like crazy!

It's the only way to survive.

With a four year old, let alone a fourteen year old, I'm picking my battles! (And maybe one day I'll start picking the ones I can win. Not always the ones worth fighting, mind you)

I have learnt a long time ago to bite my tongue. But then, I am in a house where my husband's motto is "Happy Wife means Happy Life" and that makes a big difference.

Hi! Actions speak louder than words, but sometimes people have to know why you do what you do. It is getting so that i don't fight at all, i just walk away. I filed for divorce!

It's important for you to voice out your thoughts on things that matter.
