Looks like Haji is feeling empowered since he has learned he can make the deer scatter.
It reminds me of when I first introduced city-dog Elijah Blue to rural living. He, too, was empowered when he learned he could scare cows. (Not to worry, JB had a come-to-Jesus meeting with him shortly thereafter and the cow chasing was nipped in the bud.)
As far as Haji chasing deer, he'll never catch them. But in the meantime, maybe he'll end up saving some of my plants.

I love it -- he's so little!
Deer are so breathtakingly graceful.
Great photos! I love fierce little Haji!
That is so funny. I hope the little guy can protect your plants for you.
Plus, he'll get good exercise!
how cute (and fierce of course!)
Wow, I viewed the photos quickly and I felt as I if I were watching Wild Kingdom. Go, puppy, go. Cute deer, too!
The deer out my way ate about half our corn. Which is pretty nice, all things considered: They could have eaten it all.
Tomorrow I show you stuff: MY TOMATOES!! Tune in.
A lemon cucumber is almost round, about 2"+ from top to bottom, and is yellow, and tastes like a cucumber, which it is. Only not as pungent. I highly recommend it.
