You Can't Always Get What You Want

I have been tagged by Anna to post a video of the song I sang my children.

I picked the song after watching my oldest sister, Pam, sing it to her children.
It works.

Of course, don't forget the line:
"If you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need."

Below is a kinder, gentler Mick--for all you boomers.

HILARIOUS! I have absolutely used the chorus on my kids but never knew all the words!

Thanks for playing...

Wow! I've heard that song, but I've never seen those videos before. The Rolling Stones are amazing.

This is my favorite Stones song.

Great pick...sums it all up. The frustrations of childhood and parenthood all roled up together.

I would sing the refrain to my girls, too!

they never got the subtle hint. ;-)

What a song! Still Resonates after all these years. The David Frost Video ... are them Stones stoned!.

A bit of trivia here - Prince Charles was interviewed on this David Show the same day!

I love to sing the chorus to my 8 year old at times .... but I heard him humming it one day, so it looks like this band who wrote the soundtrack to my life are gonna do the same for him too!

Thanks for posting this, Now I'll be humming it the whole weekend.

I sing this to my children so much that they now sing it to each other.
